As in the previous Hall, opportunities for group bookings and events are continuing, but with the new facilities there is also a whole range of additional possibilities.

For a start, we expect the new Hall to be open most of the time, not just by arrangement. People are able to drop in to use the facilities, to take part in a wide range of activities and events or just to meet people and have a cup of tea or coffee. There is a Reception Desk, meeting rooms, coffee areas and the Snooker Room, and in the near future there will be a mini-business centre with laptop computers:

Over the past few months we have been asking people what kinds of activity they would like to see in the new Hall. For example, Coleg Powys has offered to run a wide range of taster courses and the Llanfyllin Group Practice has been very supportive in looking at what might be provided around health, exercise and well-being.

We are also looking at what opportunities might be available for young people when they arrive back from school or at the weekend and what we might do to promote the use of the Hall for conferences, seminars and business meetings.

So please continue to let us know what your ideas are for publicising and developing the use of the Hall.

We have brought together a team of volunteers of all ages to help run the Hall, to offer assistance in more specialist areas such as in catering, the mini-business centre, reception or putting on or supporting various activities. However, we need more people! If you’re interested in being part of the team (and having a lot of enjoyment in doing that!), let us know - email Gwyn Buckley at: gwynbuckley332@btinternet.com

The Hall belongs to the community of Llanrhaeadr Ym Mochnant, and is a Charity, Registered in England & Wales - No. 524061.
